The challenge
In production and storage, gaps in the documentation are rarely down to a lack of will. They happen because measuring requires someone to do a round and write down a number, and the round is sometimes skipped.
At the same time, the installation could not interfere with operations. No cables through walls, no changes to the workflow, and no days with production down.
The solution
Wireless installation
LoRaWAN with no cabling, so the installation could take place during normal operation.
Automatic measurement
The round with the paper log has been replaced by continuous measurement, so a gap cannot arise through an oversight.
Alarms outside working hours
Calls and text messages on deviation, including evenings and weekends when no one is on site.
How the project went
From the first visit until the system was running, with no days of production down.
Walkthrough
We went through the areas and agreed where the measuring points should go and what should be monitored.
Installation
Wireless setup during normal operation. No cables through walls and no stops in production.
Configuration
Limits per area, delays and on-call rota set up together with their staff, plus on-site training.
Operation
Ongoing service and calibration, with sensor exchange when the interval is reached.
