The same data logger as Cobalt XS, but it sends over Wi-Fi instead of LoRaWAN. Chosen for smaller sites where a gateway is too great a cost, or where logging needs to be faster than every minute.
What is Cobalt XS Wi-Fi, and how does it work?
Cobalt XS Wi-Fi connects directly to your existing wireless network and sends the readings to OCEAView without a gateway in between. It measures, stores locally and synchronises in the same way as the other loggers.
The choice between Wi-Fi and LoRaWAN is rarely technical, it is organisational. LoRaWAN runs on its own network and needs no agreement with IT. Wi-Fi uses your own network and in return requires IT to grant access to the devices.

Frequently asked questions
Are there technical differences between Cobalt XS Wi-Fi and Cobalt XS?
In terms of measurement they are the same. The difference is how they send. The Wi-Fi variant needs no gateway and can log faster than every minute, while LoRaWAN is more robust over distance and through walls and runs independently of your network.
Can we mix Wi-Fi and LoRaWAN in the same system?
Yes. Both types of logger sit in the same dashboard, regardless of how they send.
