Data loggers

Cobalt X

Wireless data logger with touchscreen

The data logger that sits on the wall next to the equipment. Up to four measuring points, readings directly on the screen, and wireless transmission to the gateway.

DICKSON Cobalt X

What is Cobalt X, and how does it work?

Cobalt X is the link between the sensor and the system. The sensors are connected to the logger, which reads their values, stores the measurements locally and sends them on to the Gateway over LoRaWAN. If the connection drops, the logger keeps measuring and synchronises when the connection is back, so there is no gap in the graph.

The screen is a touchscreen that can be operated with gloves, and the logger has both sound and light, so a deviation is also visible on site. Calibration data is stored in the sensor and not in the logger, so a sensor can be exchanged without configuring anything.

Tell us what you want to monitor. We will come back with questions or a proposal.

02

Walkthrough

We visit, look at your equipment and rooms and advise on quantity and placement.

03

Installation

We install, set up limits and on-call rotas and train your staff in the system.

04

Operation and calibration

We look after it afterwards. Calibration on time and sensor exchange without downtime.

05

Validation

We validate the system, on our own or together with your QA, and deliver the documentation.

Frequently asked questions

Can several sensors share one logger?

Yes. Cobalt X handles up to four measuring points, so two refrigerators side by side can often share one logger.

What happens if the network drops out?

The data logger keeps measuring and stores data locally for up to 28 days. When the connection is back, the measurements are synchronised, so there is no gap in the graph. No alarms are raised for temperature excursions in the meantime, because the logger cannot send data to the platform.

Does the logger need calibrating?

No, it is the sensor that is calibrated. The calibration data is stored in the sensor, so a sensor can be exchanged without configuring the logger.

Can we buy it on its own?

We do not sell individual parts over the counter. Request a quote and we will put the setup together based on what you need.
