What is the Temperature and humidity sensor, and how does it work?
The sensor contains two measuring elements in the same housing, one for temperature and one for relative humidity. Both values are sent to the data logger and logged in parallel, so a change in one can be seen in the context of the other.
That matters more than it sounds. In a warehouse it is often humidity that breaks down the packaging long before the temperature becomes critical, and in a cleanroom both are typically part of the same qualification.

Both measurements are shown together in OCEAView, so a rise in humidity after a door opening can be seen in the context of the temperature.

Frequently asked questions
Can we make do with measuring temperature only?
You can, but in warehouses and cleanrooms humidity is often what goes wrong first. We advise based on what needs to be protected.
Are both values shown in the same graph?
Yes. They are logged in parallel and can be viewed together, which makes it easier to explain a deviation. They can also be viewed separately in individual graphs.
Which data logger should we use?
Cobalt X if you have several measuring points close together. Cobalt XS if it is only one location.
