Temperature monitoring
Wireless monitoring of temperature, humidity, CO2 and differential pressure. Measured around the clock, alarmed in time and logged in an audit trail that cannot be altered. Installed, calibrated and serviced by us.
What is a temperature monitoring system?
A system that continuously measures the conditions in your equipment and rooms, stores every reading and raises the alarm when something deviates. It consists of sensors, data loggers, a gateway and software. Unlike a thermometer, it remembers what happened last night, and unlike a data logger, it tells you while there is still time to act.
How the system fits together
Four parts working together. You only notice the last one.
The sensor
Sits inside the equipment and measures temperature, humidity, CO2 or pressure. Calibration data is stored in the sensor itself.
The data logger
Sits on the wall by the equipment, stores the readings locally and passes them on. Data is not lost during network outages.
The gateway
One unit covers the whole building and collects up to 50 data loggers and 100 to 200 sensors.
The software
OCEAView shows everything on one screen, calls on deviation and stores every reading in an audit trail.

OCEAView
The heart of the system. Cloud or on your own servers with LDAP. You decide.
Watch mode and Plan View
Watch mode gives a combined status overview of the equipment you have access to, up to 100 devices per page. Plan View places the measuring points on your own floor plan. Green is normal, red is a deviation.

Alarms and escalation
Three levels up and three down, each with its own delay. Calls the person on call and onwards until someone acknowledges.

Reports and audit trail
Every reading, alarm and acknowledgement with timestamp and user. Export the report as PDF or CSV.

Without documentation, the medicine is declared unfit for use
If conditions go outside the limits and you cannot document for how long, there is no discussion. And then the bill is not a new logging system. It is the value of the entire stock, plus the deviation you have to explain afterwards.
Friday evening
The compressor fails, or a door does not close. Nobody is in the building.
Monday morning
The damage is done, and nobody can say how long it went on.
At the audit
The answer is a paper log with an empty field. That is not an answer.
What the solution looks like
Wireless sensors at every piece of equipment, one gateway for the whole building, and software that calls until someone acknowledges.
Measures around the clock
Temperature, humidity, CO2 and differential pressure. The sensor sits inside the equipment, the data logger outside.
Calls on deviation
Calls, SMS and email to whoever is on call. If they do not answer, it moves on to the next person.
Stores everything
Every reading, every alarm and every acknowledgement with name and timestamp, in a log that cannot be altered.
Delivers the documentation
Choose a period and export the report as PDF or CSV. Ready before anyone asks for it.
Everything is wireless
No cables through walls and no network setup on each device. Two wireless technologies each solve their own task.
Bluetooth
Used for the sensing itself, not for the gateway. The Emerald sensor pairs wirelessly with the logger and can sit inside the freezer or in the transport box.
LoRaWAN
Ultra-long range and low power consumption. Up to 15 km in open air, 1 to 2 km in a building, less in basements.
Wi-Fi
Cobalt XS Wi-Fi for smaller installations, or when a logging interval faster than 1 minute is needed.
What we monitor
Medicine refrigerators
Pharmacies, wards and clinics. Door alarm via dry contact.
ULT freezers at -80
Pt100 covers the full range. Technical alarm for lost communication and sensor faults.
Liquid nitrogen tanks
Pt100 down to -200 degrees. Samples that cannot be replaced.
CO2 incubators
Temperature, humidity and CO2 in the same sensor. IVF and cell culture.
Cold rooms and storage
Many measuring points per room. Typically requires mapping first.
Cleanrooms and differential pressure
Pressure cascades between zones, airlocks and isolators.
Third-party equipment
Particle counters, oxygen meters and CliniMACS via 4-20 mA.
Alarms
Calls, SMS and email via OCEAlert. Siren, or relay to your own siren or lamp.
Selected sensors and equipment
Everything is from DICKSON and can be combined freely. We put the setup together based on what we see at your site.

Emerald
Bluetooth sensor without a cable. Can be mounted in the cabinet, in the freezer or in the transport box. Measures down to -40 degrees, or to -200 with an external Pt100 probe.

Cobalt X2
LoRaWAN logger with touchscreen, sound and light on the device. Up to four measuring points and can be operated with gloves on.

Cobalt XS
LoRaWAN logger with LCD and button controls. Up to two sensors, 400,000 measuring points in memory and a battery that lasts a year.

Connect Gateway
Collects up to 50 data loggers and 100 to 200 sensors. Ethernet or 4G with automatic fallback.
The problem is rarely the equipment. It is the weekend.
Most places already have a thermometer in the refrigerator, and someone writes the number down in the morning. That works until a Friday evening when the compressor fails or a door does not close.
By Monday morning the damage is done, and nobody can say how long it went on. That is not just unfortunate. It is a deviation that has to be explained, and stock that has to be discarded.
A monitoring system does not change the fact that the freezer can break down. It changes the fact that someone is notified at 02:14, while there is still time to save the contents.

We do not sell systems. We sell solutions.
A monitoring system is only as good as the day the alarm goes off. That is why we handle the whole process, from the first walkthrough until operation is running, and stay on afterwards.
Project management
We run the project, not you. Planning, sensor placement, installation, setup and training of your people. On time and within budget.
See our approach →Tailored proposal
A hospital pharmacy and a production line do not have the same needs. We visit, look at your equipment and rooms, and the quote is built on what we see.
Book a walkthrough →Calibration
Traceable certificates on every sensor via accredited partners. The system itself tells you when a calibration is about to expire, with the notice period you choose.
See how it works →Service and operation
We are seven people in Måløv. When you call, you reach someone who knows your installation. Sensor exchange without downtime.
See what service covers →We do not make the equipment. We make it fit you.
Djurhuus IT has been in the industry since 2000 and has supplied monitoring to hospitals, laboratories and pharmaceutical production in Denmark since 2018. We are the Danish distributor of DICKSON, who build the data loggers, the sensors and the software.
What we do is everything between the equipment and your daily routine. We come out and look at your rooms, assess where the sensors should go and how many are needed. We install, set up alarm limits and on-call rotas together with you and train your people to use the system.
Afterwards we look after it, as your partner. Calibration on time via accredited partners, sensor exchange without downtime, and a phone answered by someone who knows your installation.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a data logger and a monitoring system?
A data logger stores the readings so you can document them afterwards. A monitoring system stores them too, but tells you immediately when something deviates, and brings everything together on one screen.
Are FMS and EMS the same?
Yes. Facility Monitoring System and Environmental Monitoring System cover the same thing. The only difference is which term the industry uses.
How many sensors can one gateway handle?
About 50 data loggers and 100 to 200 sensors, depending on the setup. The range is up to 15 km in open air, 1 to 2 km in a building and considerably less in basements.
What happens if the connection drops?
The data logger stores the readings locally and synchronises when the connection is back. There is no gap in the curve.
How often do the sensors need calibrating?
You define the interval yourselves based on your SOPs, typically every 12 months. The system notifies you itself when a sensor's calibration is about to expire, and you choose how far in advance the notice should come.
Does the system require Wi-Fi?
No. LoRaWAN runs on its own network via the gateway. Wi-Fi is an option, not a requirement.
